ATELIER LA BAUTA, FOR YEARS HE HAS BEEN HAND-MADE HISTORICAL COSTUMES
Our carnival costumes are faithful reproductions of the ancient and sumptuous era in which Carnival was considered a public celebration that lasted six weeks and in which every Venetian went around the streets and squares wearing traditional masks: the Bauta, the Moretta, the Gnaga or simply wearing papier-mâché masks decorated with plumage, beads and embroidery.
A period according to which the participation of all citizens decreed the very essence of Carnival, where everyone was part of a large masked stage, where actors and spectators merged into a single and immense procession of figures and colors.
Through the paintings and clothes found in museums, we offer our customers reproductions that pay attention to every detail. The research of fabrics in the Venetian territory, of ancient trimmings, the faithful reproduction of ancient buckles and buttons, allows everyone to savor the carnival in an authentic way.
From shoes of every color and shape, through medieval dresses up to the 19th century, Rococo styled wigs and the accessories that accompany each costume, our Atelier can satisfy every need.

In the SHOP section you will find our catalog with photos of the costumes divided by era, choose one or more costumes paying attention to the size. Each costume is a unique piece, handmade with care, the price indicates rental for 24 hours, from the second day the price is discounted by 50%. Then write us an email to info@labauta.com indicating the date on which you want to wear the costume and a selection of 2/3 costumes in order to indicate availability.
